Let the Happy Dance Begin!!!
So, as many of you know, I had a bit of a scare starting on June 9th when I was diagnosed with a detached retina, which required emergency surgery at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. For the last month + I have been going around with a gas bubble in my eye, a medic alert florescent green bracelet, and a patch over my eye. My kids have dubbed me the Pirate Mom. There is a 2 month no flying stipulation with this. We squeaked by . . . .As of today, the bubble is almost completely gone, the patch is gone, and my eye doctor has given me the go ahead for the Camino. God is good!
Retirement Day - July 15, 2018
Gretchen's "last" day of work, and her birthday! The church, the Women's Guild, the Choirs, and Fr. Ben gave Gretchen an awesome farewell. All this Camino stuff is coming to a believable point. As of the day of this post, we have 40 days left to prepare.
