Our Kind of Trail

Now that we are finally connected with the French Way, so much has changed. We have bunches of other Pilgrims ahead and behind us. There are plenty of markers that are getting fancier the further we go. The trails might be a little rocky here and there, but overall, seem like walking on a nice road. The Camino trail seems heavily focused on the Perrigrinos' safety. That was definitely not the case when we started. It was downright dangerous in places. We will NEVER take the Camino for granted

When we were in the Lourdes Confusion Way,, we saw maybe five Perrigrinos the whole way.

It is really cool in the section of Spain we are in now...farmland, rolling hills of patchwork greens, browns, and yellows. It has gone from vineyards and olive trees, to potatoes, onions, sunflowers , and fields prepared for winter. In amongst all that are the Santiago trails which you can see from far off with little tiny pilgrims that look like ants.

We made good progress today and are actually in
Belorado.  Tomorrow will be a shorter day. Our plan is for Villafranco.

  1. Well, that looks like a long road and over the hill there will be more and then more the next hill. All there is to it is one foot in front of the other over and over and over and over again. Day after day after day. Nothing to it! The Purple Hat Chicks have it down!

    1. There are plenty of hills, but they just don't seem as bad when you are on a nice wide trail, instead of a 12-inch trail.

  2. Oh that's a great photo! It's nice to feel "safe" when you're walking even with others ahead and behind you so it's good that you feel that way now vs. when you first started. Hope it's another GOOD day.
