Fun Day!!

We walked to Notre Dame Cathedral this morning. We went to Mass there which was very cool. We also got our first stamp on our Camino credential. It becomes like a passport. We get stamps at each stop/hostel and then show it at the end of our walk and will receive a completion certificate.

  1. How many people go to mass at Notre Dame on a regular day? Are you staying at a hostel in Paris or a hotel?

    1. There are thousands of people who go to Notre Dame to see it. Those who want attend a Mass go into a cordoned off area in the center where the best view exists. Yesterday there were, at best, 30. But, it is in French, so some may not go because of language barrier. That doesn't matter to Gretchen and me.

    2. Oops..and we are in a hotel. We will be in a hotel for the two days we are in Lourdes, and then switch to hostels.

    1. When there is a Mass, you can't take pictures. Depending on the circumstances we can, but we have to be very careful and respectful.
