A Different Sleeping Experience Each Night.

This is where Gretchen and I are sleeping tonight. We are in Borce. This is a six bed hostel. A 2 bed room, and a 4 bed room. We arrived and essentially opened the door, took the 2 bed room, and settled in. The proprietor checked us in a couple of hours later.  A true open door policy.

I just heard a donkey braying. Cool!

Oh...our reception is getting worse and worse, and tomorrow we should be at our highest point,  so no guarantees on a post tomorrow.

We really appreciate all your support and prayers. I am going to change some settings in the blog in hopes of making it less frustrating for many of you, and so we can hear from all of you.

  1. Wow, Borce looks real busy. If you left the doors open during the night you may have had some strange guests. A donkey, a sheep and a goat or more commonly, a dog or a friendly cat. You guys are doing much better and seem to have it all down. Way to go!

    1. A 2007 census if Borce had a population of 167....not counting the sheep, cows, and occasional donkey.

  2. Looks like it maybe was a church or chapel at one time? Nice that you were able to get the 2-bed room. Hopefully you got a good sleep and are ready to hit the trail again......

    1. This is actually a typical house architecture for the area. It does make for a challenge when we are looking for a church hostel. They do indeed look like churches.

  3. You have to wonder while you're staying in this old building...what stories it has. Very cool

  4. We are not used to ancient buildings like they have here. It is truly mind boggling.
