This is an amazing chapel very near Notre Dame. Over 1,100 stained glass windows. If you are there at the right time of day, the room is awash with color.
I took my parents here when we went to Paris. I knew about it from my college job in the art history slide room, and knew it was a must-see on my list of cathedrals. Since we went in through the basement, mom and dad thought the basement was it. We wandered around for a little bit, and then I said to them "OK, let's go upstairs." They said "There's an upstairs?" Boy were they surprised when we came to the top of the spiral staircase! This and Chartres are my favorites...
